Our story in a few words
Welcome to WOPAD, Women of Purpose and Destiny – more than an organization, we are a divinely guided ministry!
WOPAD was birthed by our founder, Yemi Joshua, in 2010 during a career break when she moved to Canada. During a difficult time in her life, the Lord gifted her a vision and charged her with the assignment to help other women through her life experiences.
What began as her personal journey of faith and healing soon became a ministry focused on empowering women to discover their God-given purpose.
We are rooted in the belief that each woman possesses a unique purpose and destiny crafted by God Himself, we’re dedicated to helping you unveil and embrace your divine calling. Our mission is clear: to guide women like you in aligning your lives with God’s will, understanding that purpose is the key to unlocking destiny’s potential.
Although WOPAD fully launched and became mobile in 2021 after 11 years, this was not a delay but a season of preparation and pruning by God. During this time, He refined the vision to ensure it was ready to serve women with purpose and power.
As real women with real stories, we believe in the power of sharing truth and testimony. Together, through shared faith and experiences, we create a supportive environment where we can overcome fear, disappointment, trauma, and pain. As women of Christ, we advocate for self-care and positive well-being, embracing the transformative power of the Holy Spirit.
